Section 1.1: What is Nvidia Canvas?

Nvidia Canvas is a desktop application that utilizes AI to craft landscapes with just a few simple clicks. It employs the GauGAN2 algorithm, which quickly converts basic brush strokes into impressive artwork. This advanced algorithm integrates segmentation mapping, inpainting, and text-to-image generation into a single model. Trained on 10 million high-quality landscape images with the help of the NVIDIA Selene supercomputer, it delivers remarkable results.

Upon launching the app, users are presented with two canvases: one for doodling and the other displaying the AI’s interpretation of the sketch. The software offers nine styles to change the aesthetic of the artwork and twenty materials, including options like sky, mountains, rivers, and stones.

Additionally, Canvas allows users to export their creations in formats compatible with Photoshop, enabling further refinement or blending with other artworks.

Section 1.2: Accessibility and Alternatives

While the software is impressive, there is a limitation: not everyone can immediately access it. To run the application, users need at least Windows 10 and specific NVIDIA GPUs, such as the GeForce RTX, RTX, Quadro RTX, or TITAN RTX.

This requirement can be disappointing, but there’s good news! Nvidia has also launched an online tool similar to the desktop version that can be accessed through any web browser. This cloud-based solution operates like Unreal Engine's Metahuman or Google's Stadia, allowing users to create without needing high-end GPUs.
