How much can writers actually earn on NewsBreak? It's a question many aspiring writers ask as they come across various claims about earnings. The figures can be quite diverse, leaving many curious about the potential income per article or per 1,000 reads (RPM).

In my experience, when I published my article, it had an RPM of $3.38. With over 106,138 views in October 2022, it generated earnings of $358.31.

Now, back to the burning question: how much can a writer potentially earn from NewsBreak per article? The truth is, earnings can range from nothing to whatever the platform determines. Some articles of mine earned absolutely nothing, while others brought in just a few cents. However, there were also pieces that made between $10 to $50 or even more.

What astonished me the most was that the article with the highest earnings on NewsBreak was penned in under 10 minutes. It received over 3 million impressions, 350,000 views (reads), and more than 2,000 comments. To date, it has amassed over $800 in total earnings. It's worth noting that this quick write-up was not poorly researched; it was a concise piece of just over 250 words—the minimum word count for submission.

I never anticipated the article would achieve such impressive views. A month post-publication, it gained an additional 138,937 in-app views. However, the RPM decreased to $1.63, resulting in $226.85 in earnings. The drop in RPM puzzled me, but I learned to accept it as part of the experience.

By December, the article continued to attract attention with 95,726 views, yielding a slightly higher RPM of $1.70, which translated to a passive income of $162.28. Simply incredible!

In January 2023, however, views plummeted to just above 16,000, earning me only $27.32—significantly less than its initial performance in October 2022.

Since January 2023, the views have continued to decline, but the article still earns a modest amount each month. This experience, along with my other articles, leads me to conclude that passive income can be generated over time from NewsBreak.
