Chapter 1: Introduction to Skinwalker Ranch

If you've had the chance to watch The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch on Prime Video, you might understand why I find myself engrossed in this series. For the past few nights, I've been captivated by episode after episode, often battling sleep as I dive deeper into the mysteries that unfold.

Since 1994, Skinwalker Ranch has changed hands multiple times, starting with Kenneth and Edith Meyers, who owned it for six decades before selling it to the Shermans. Terry and Gwen Sherman reported a string of terrifying experiences during their time there, including:

• Sightings of strange creatures
• Unexplained paranormal phenomena
• Cattle mutilations
• UFO sightings

Just two years later, the Shermans sold the ranch to Robert Bigelow, who dedicated the next twenty years to scientifically investigating the unusual occurrences on the property. In 2016, Bigelow transferred ownership to Brandon Fugal, who appears on the History Channel show alongside astrophysicist Dr. Travis Taylor and a team of other scientists.

The show's gripping nature is undeniable. I often find myself hitting pause, desperately trying to step away from the screen only to hit "play" again moments later. With each episode, my curiosity to unravel the mysteries of Skinwalker Ranch intensifies. So, what’s all the fuss really about?

After completing season two, I must confess my frustration; the scientific experiments conducted thus far have not illuminated the enigma of the magnetic field anomalies. However, that might just be part of the show's allure. Could the phenomena at Skinwalker Ranch be genuine, as numerous witnesses have suggested?

To understand the full scope of the area, we must delve into its history. Located in Uintah County, Utah, Skinwalker Ranch was once inhabited by the Navajo and Ute tribes. According to local legends, the Navajo were mistreated by the Ute, leading them to curse the land in retaliation for their suffering. Over time, folklore has emerged about a skinwalker, a shaman capable of transforming into an animal, said to roam the Uintah Basin and consume anything in its path.

For decades, tales of supernatural experiences and extraterrestrial encounters have circulated. After finishing the first season of the series, I've drawn some personal conclusions.

Section 1.1: The Dual Nature of Experiences at Skinwalker Ranch

There seem to be two distinct types of occurrences at Skinwalker Ranch:

1. Paranormal – events or phenomena that challenge conventional scientific explanation.
2. Extraterrestrial – intelligent beings or phenomena that defy anything known from Earth’s atmosphere or origins. The paranormal activities may be associated with a portal.

As a lifelong researcher in the paranormal, I found it challenging to watch certain experiments unfold. At times, I wished I could be there to conduct an investigation, exploring ways to communicate with whatever might be present. I felt the scientists might not be the ideal fit for tackling the paranormal aspects; belief in these phenomena is crucial. While skepticism is certainly important, a genuine belief can sometimes provide insights.

The property is dotted with abandoned homesteads that are rumored to contain strong otherworldly energy. Credible witnesses have reported sightings of a portal opening, with something non-human emerging as if stepping through a doorway. Others have shared experiences of hearing voices overhead, suggesting an invisible space just above them. Poltergeist activity is reportedly common at the ranch, creating a veritable playground for paranormal investigators.

Section 1.2: UFO Activity at Skinwalker Ranch

Skinwalker Ranch has become a focal point for UFO sightings. The sheer volume of eyewitness accounts makes it challenging to dismiss these events as mere fabrications. Many believe that the Mesa, a nearby mountain ridge, serves as a hidden entry and exit point for extraterrestrial beings to access a vast underground realm.

Consider the evidence that has surfaced: videos showcasing glowing ridge lines and a multitude of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) in the vicinity. To assert that hundreds of eyewitnesses are merely experiencing hallucinations seems more implausible than believing in ghosts or aliens—both of which, by the way, are not crazy notions.

It is impossible to overlook the countless testimonies from witnesses. Yet, two vital questions linger:

WHO ARE THEY? and WHAT DO THEY WANT?
