Curated Stories and Ongoing Updates

Welcome to episode #99 of ILLUMINATION! This installment is a bit briefer due to some unexpected issues we encountered during publication today. A few stories contained nonsensical characters, which we're addressing with support. I appreciate your feedback regarding previous collections and have included a selection of 21 newly boosted stories from last week that I believe you'll find enjoyable.

In response to numerous inquiries from gamers on Discord and Slack regarding the boosting process for ILLUMINATION-Gaming, I've created a concise YouTube video. The link is included in this article along with transcripts for those who prefer reading. This should clarify many fundamental questions about boosting.

Moreover, I've recently penned an article discussing the 2024 Academy Awards, which will cover the winners and notable details soon. Unfortunately, I was unable to contribute any new stories today due to my publishing responsibilities.

As the bulk account suspension issue is critical for our community, our chief editor, Dr. Yildiz, has authored an article on the subject. Your thoughts and feedback are welcome, as he has expressed empathy for those affected while also highlighting the challenges faced by Medium.

I recently came across a touching testimony from Dr. Yildiz about Lanu Pitan, one of our dedicated editors and readers whose account was suspended. A few days ago, we published an editorial bulletin addressing this suspension issue.

Our editor, Mike, has also provided his perspective on the matter. For our new readers, here are a few updates:

Interviews with Acclaimed Writers

In recent weeks, Mike has introduced several of my favorite writers: Matt Lillywhite, Genius Turner, Shirley Willett, and Dr. David Mokotoff, MD.

  • Interview with Matt Lillywhite
  • Interview with Genius Turner
  • Interview with Shirley Willett
  • Interview with Dr. David Mokotoff, MD, Retired Cardiologist

As a new boost nominator, the standout story for me was by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz, my long-term mentor. His insights have addressed some challenging questions in a way that resonated deeply with me. This is a must-read if you're interested in boosting your stories.

Weekly Updates and Curated Collections

Yesterday, ILLUMINATION-Curators compiled all boosted stories from February, reflecting our dedication to promoting quality content. You can find the collection here: Collection of Boosted Stories from ILLUMINATION Publications — V5.

Additionally, I’ve included 13 new boosted stories alongside links to older ones to provide a rich reading experience. Here's the link for those interested: Weekly Update: Boosted Stories on ILLUMINATION-Curated (Feb 18–25, 2024).

Dr. Mehmet Yildiz (Tech) has shared updates on Technology Hits publications, showcasing stories from February. You can check out the Technology Hits Updates — February 2024.

As part of my boost education initiative, I also highlighted exceptional stories from Dr. Joan Naidorf and Jozsef Kovacs, aimed at increasing distribution for our writers. I believe readers will find these stories rewarding, and aspiring writers like me can learn from them: Lessons Learned from Boosted Stories: Episode #4.

Our newsletter has been released, and it’s available on both Medium and Substack. I encourage you to share it on your social media accounts. These newsletters provide valuable monthly updates and insights for new writers. You can find the Monthly Updates from ILLUMINATION Editorial Team: February 2024.

In case you missed the heartfelt open letter by Dr. Yildiz encouraging non-members to join, please consider sharing it widely. His message is vital for attracting more readers, especially as our views have significantly decreased.

Engagement and Community Building

Mike Broadly, DHSc, has also been engaging with these interviews, compiling his favorites. You can explore his captivating collections here: Mike's Favorite Stories on ILLUMINATION Publications — #39. He has also documented his learnings from over 100 boosted stories in his collection: I Read 100+ Boosted Stories and Here's What I Learned.

Another dedicated editor, The Sturg, has started curated collections, and I look forward to sharing his next edition in upcoming episodes. Recently, I updated a piece encouraging writers to showcase their bios, as readers have shown a keen interest in personal stories. Check out: Meet ILLUMINATION Writers from Their Personally Penned Biographies.

A Call for Engagement

ILLUMINATION-Curators have launched a new collection for our Reading Club, filled with engaging narratives. I hope many readers consider upgrading their subscriptions, as there are compelling reasons to do so.

For those interested in gaming, I’ve penned a few quick pieces about tech and gaming, ensuring I keep my writing skills sharp. Here are some light reads:

  • Different Types of Wolves Are Finally Coming to Minecraft
  • 'Crackgate' Is Here With Apple Vision Pro's Seemingly Cracking Out of Nowhere
  • Default Female Skins Might Be Coming to Counter-Strike, Thanks to Open Letter From Pros
  • IBM Is Using AI to Protect Your SSD

I volunteered to create a comprehensive list of this collection, making it easy to share on social platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Reddit, or Quora. You can access all our sharing platforms through Dr. Yildiz’s story link.

Remember, these stories are a blend of my personal favorites and those nominated by our volunteer editors, reflecting a wide range of tastes. While we aim to amplify as many great stories as possible, it’s essential to recognize that we cannot feature every single piece.

Thank you for engaging with these wonderful stories. I believe you will find something that piques your interest in today's selections:
